Tired

Long week - actually, short week, but I'm tired... Man I hate my job! I've really got to find something more fulfilling, and double the money would help too. I don't suppose that will happen anytime soon. I think I may turn this into a strictly worship based blog. Or a bass blog.

I've not been there for that... When is the meeting? Is it friendly to the pro-lifers? I'm extremely interested in the libertarian movement, but I can't go all the way as long as the official party platform is pro-choice.

There are quite a few Pro-Life Libertarians in Indiana. In 2004 our candidate for Governor was Kenn Gividen. Ken is in ex-minster and is Pro-Life. I am not sure how many Libertarians are Pro-Life; but, it is not a small number.

I think my view on abortion is most likely the most common out of the Libertarians that I know; but, I am not 100% sure.

I personally think abortion is wrong almost all of the time. I think in cases where the safety of the mother is involved abortion should be an option. I think if it is probable that the baby will be born and be extremely damaged, abortion may be an option. I think in cases of rape or incest, abortion may also be an option.

I guess I overall think 95% of the abortions that people have are wrong.

That being said, I do not think the Federal government should get involved in abortion in ANY way. I think each state should pass its own laws regarding abortion. That would make it so that we had some states where aboriton was legal and others where it is not...

I am glad that "partial birth" abortion has been made illegal. I also do not want to see tax dollars used to help poeple get abortions.

I don't want to see tax dollars used for much of anything... let alone abortion. I am a recovering Republican (far right wing of the party) who feels abandoned by the Bush administration and Congress who have sold out to liberal special interests instead of reducing the size of government, which is what we all wanted. Anyway, I digress... I'm searching out new means of voter expression and considering the Constitution Party and the Taxpayer's Union as well as the Libertarian Party. I'm leaning Libertarian, but struggling immensely with the abortion issue. Again, if your rights end at the bridge of my nose, then the mother's rights end at the bridge of the fetus' nose, if indeed the fetus is a human life, which scientifically speaking it, it is.
